Transformers

I watched it last night (the only movie - as far as I can remember - that I've watched on opening day), and it flat out ROCKS!!!

As I told my officemates, it's a marvel of cinematic technology. It's amazing what they can do with computer-generated image (CGI) animation nowadays. Everything just looked so real!

The action was excellent! In an edge-of-your-seat sort of way that'll tire you out (in a good way) because of adrenaline rush. It's trademark Michael Bay stuff that I've always appreciated even in his past films (Bad Boys I and II, Con Air, The Rock...; didn't like Armageddon though), without the usual cheesy moments (like I said, I didn't like Armageddon). It had sufficient humorous moments interspersed to keep things light so you wouldn't take it too seriously. The soundtrack is good too, and I hope to get the OST on CD.

I must say the 20-year wait was worth it.

I'm going to watch it again!
