First Micro Four Thirds camera released

Oh my goodness!

Panasonic has just announced (12 September 2008) their first (and THE first) digital camera in the Micro Four Thirds format. It's quite a bit of info, so just click on the official Panasonic press release for the complete lowdown. Included with that artcle is the announcement of 2 new lenses for the same Micro 4/3 system.Love the swiveling LCD screen! (3 inches!)
I'm not so sure about the red and blue versions though...

I'm eagerly awaiting Oly's version(s) though. Seems that would very nicely complement my E510 ;-)

[Update: The G1 does not have a video mode. That function is reserved for the "G HD" (name not final) which will be released at a later date]

Update: First on-line review posted at DCRP.
