I currently own an Olympus E-510, but if I could afford it, I'd sell the E-510 and get the 50D. The G10 would be my backup camera for quick snaps and video.
The G10 is a bit of a gamble though, as it's only been recently released and there are currently no published reviews of it yet. If it turns out to be a dud, I'd then rather get the Panasonic LX3.

How smitten am I with the 50D? Well, I visited a local Canon shop and played around with the 40D on display (virtually physically identical to the 50D), and thought: "This camera was made to fit my hand!" ;-D
I used to think the Quick Control Dial on the rear was a gimmick, but after trying it out for myself, have realised it's pure genius! Coupled with the front command/main dial, plus the joystick on the rear, you'd wonder why every other manufacturer didn't do it this way. Sweet!
