Xena fans on Friendster

I've just recently discovered that the entries in my Friendster profile have links. Clicking on any word/phrase entry brings you to a page of Friendster members who have the same entry in their profiles. This is a good way to look for people with similar interests.

Is this a new Friendster feature, or I just haven't been paying attention?

Anyway, I clicked on my "Xena Warrior Princess" entry in the favorite TV shows box, and I am surprised to find quite a lot of people -- young females in their late teens to early twenties -- actually like that show. I didn't know that kind of show appealed to that demographic. I would understand my female friends from high school and college (see my schooling in my Friendster profile and you'll understand... ;p) liking it, but the range of people who have it in their profiles is quite surprising.

This makes me wonder: Is Xena still showing on regular TV, or even cable? I don't watch regular TV anymore (except for the "news" every now and then; and that's because my in-laws watch during dinner and I don't have a choice but to watch with them since our dining area and living room are practically one and the same). The few times that I get to watch cable TV, I haven't noticed Xena being advertised on any of the channels. I can't imagine the "younger" generation being familiar with the show (by younger I mean under 20). They would've been too young when the show came out in the mid to late '90s.

I miss Xena (sigh)... and Hercules for that matter...

P.S.
I liked the show so much, I named my first mountain bike after The Warrior Princess ;-)
